Why we built it
Tiptap has always been about developer control. But until now, that stopped at the page level.
We’ve seen developers trying to build:
- Insurance workflows where addendums must appear on the correct page
- Edtech tools that separate exams from answer keys
- Proposal software that needs to warn if an RFP runs too long
- Legal apps that insert exhibits between exact pages without splitting signature blocks
These aren’t edge cases, they’re normal cases, for structured content. Pages is the foundation for all of it.
Where it’s going
This isn’t just a layout feature. It’s the beginning of a document intelligence layer that understands real-world document constraints.
