No. We have a free plan. Try Tiptap for free for as long as you want, play around with Collaboration, and just be sure you really need Collaboration before you give us your credit card... We guess that applies to most things in life.
No. We have consumption-based pricing, so we can't charge you other than monthly.
At the beginning of the month with the base fee of your current plan plus any additional usage from the previous month.
We use paddle.com as our payment provider, which allows you to pay with Visa Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, JCB, UnionPay and PayPal.
Our cloud infrastructure is securely housed within Hetzner.com's data centers located in Germany, ensuring outstanding compliance with GDPR standards. For those on the business plan, there is the flexibility to select a preferred data center in either the US or the EU. Additionally, as an On-Premise Enterprise client, there is the option to self-host the entire Tiptap Suite.
Big surprise! We connect your OpenAI API key to Tiptap. Since we don't call ourselves an AI startup, we're not ashamed of it.
What Tiptap does is provide the editor features and the backend that processes your prompts and handles the connection to OpenAI.

You will need to upgrade your plan. The only limit you need to worry about is concurrent connections. This metric has a serious impact on our hardware. That's why we don't allow it to scale based on your usage, but 200 concurrent connections in the starter plan should be enough to get you started in serious business. You can see your concurrent connection usage in your Tiptap account dashboard.
Let's say you're building the exercise that every web developer does, a to-do list app, but with collaboration. In your case, every to-do list in your app is a document in Collaboration.
Monthly connections are the total number of connections to all your Collaboration documents, while concurrent connections are the number of simultaneous connections to all your Collaboration documents.
First of all: We are very sorry if this is because we didn't meet your needs. Second, your Tiptap Collaboration and Tiptap AI will be downgraded to the free plan. That's it. Let's stay friends anyway. The free plan works for us.
