These pro extensions will be completely free and open:
You can use them, fork them, customize them, or contribute improvements. No account needed, no restrictions.
Why are we doing this
These extensions are no longer at the center of our business. But they’re still useful, and we know many developers rely on them.
Instead of locking them up, we’re giving them back to the community.
We’ve also sunset the free tier of Tiptap Cloud (where these extensions were previously included – read about our new pricing in our blog post). This shift helps us stay sustainable and focused, so we can keep investing in the open-source editor and building the ecosystem and platform around.
What’s next
Going forward, our paid plans are built around complete feature bundles. These aren’t just collections of extensions. They include backend infrastructure, UI components, and everything needed to solve a full problem.
For example:
If you’re building an advanced editing experience and want to save months of development time, these bundles are the way to go.
We’re excited about what this change unlocks, for you, for us, and for the Tiptap ecosystem.
Thanks for building with us,
The Tiptap Team
