Only documents stored in Tiptap Cloud count toward your limit. Documents in your own database do not count. Deleting a document from Tiptap Cloud removes it from the count.

### Additional developer licenses

All plans support adding more developer licenses, priced at $49/dev/month with monthly billing or $39/dev/month with annual billing.

## FAQ

### What counts as a cloud document?

A cloud document is anything stored in Tiptap Cloud for features like collaboration, version history, or comments. Local documents in your own database do not count.

### What happens if I exceed my document limit?

Tiptap will not block new document creation or affect existing documents. You will receive an email asking for an update. If there is no response, your plan will be upgraded automatically.

### Can I try before I buy?

Yes. All plans include a 30-day free trial with no credit card required.

### Do you offer refunds?

No refunds, but the 30-day free trial lets you test all features before subscribing.

### Is Tiptap SOC 2 compliant?

Yes. Tiptap is SOC 2 Type II compliant (Enterprise plan). Reports are available upon request.

### Where is Tiptap hosted?

Tiptap Platform runs on managed cloud infrastructure with US and EU hosting options. Enterprise customers can choose private or on-premises deployments.

### Do you offer discounts for open source projects, education, or startups?
